1. Define what wealth is to you…

Example

“Wealth to me is having enough money to do whatever I want to do whenever I want to do it and to possess the attitude to enjoy every step of the journey”.

You can use part of this example it or all of it – whatever will get you writing your list!

2. Create your wish list. This list can be as long as you want it to be. Be clear with your wishes. It is not appropriate here to say, “I want to be happy”. Happiness to a pig and to you are two completely different things so be clear. Break up big wishes into small ones. It is not appropriate here to say travel the world. Write down the list of places you REALLY want to go to. We have found it easy to use these categories to create your wish list:

• PERSONALITY & CHARACTERISTICS (the qualities you wish to possess)
• FAMILY & FRIENDS (describe your family/friends)
• FINANCIAL (think big – this is your wish list)
• BUSINESS (what are your business goals if you own a company)
• CAREER (how are you going to finance your wish list)
• RELATIONSHIP (describe your perfect mate – BE SELFISH!)
• LEISURE ACTIVITIES (sports, hobbies, fun etc)
• TRAVELLING (create a list of all the places you want to travel to – use an atlas)
• CLOTHING (describe your wardrobe – include designers is you wish)
• TECHNOLOGY (computers, entertainment equipment – be specific)
• HEALTH (use the sentence – I am creating being…e.g. able to use all of my senses until I die)
• HOME (in detail describe your dream home, create a list of rooms in your home and fill them up with furnishings)
• TRANSPORTATION (list all the vehicles you want – be specific)

Q: When would be the best time to take brewer’s yeast?

A: The best time to consume brewer’s yeast is right after the sun turns to ice. We poor Americans are hopelessly gullible. We are constantly having wastes stuck down our throats, and more often than not we are convinced to pay for the privilege! Because of the gargantuan amount of food that is processed in this country, a tremendous amount of waste by-products are generated. These wastes are usually labeled as “healthy” and sold to people who have been convinced that health can be purchased in neatly packaged tins.

Look at whey, the putrid, yellow-green by product of cheese production. Only about 10% of the milk used to make cheese actually ends up as cheese. The rest of the unlovely liquid separates out as vile-smelling, vile-tasting whey. In the late 1970s there was a frantic search for ways to dispose of it. Before dairy consumption doubled from 1960 to 1978, it was simply trucked to hog farms and fed to pigs, but that became too expensive. Strict federal and regulations prohibit dumping raw whey down sewers. Whey is 100 to 200 times stronger a pollutant than residential sewage, and most municipal sewage plants cannot treat it adequately. Disposal in streams is out because whey depletes waterways of oxygen, thus rendering them incapable of supporting marine life. Disposal on unused land or gravel pits is often unsuitable because of seepage into water supplies. Many cheese factories simply used to dump the stuff surreptitiously and illegally. An article in the Los Angeles Times (December 4, 1978) announced. “The solution hit upon by both industry and government is to apply high technology and sophisticated marketing techniques and feed the stuff to humans.”

Right! Of course!!! Where else would they get rid of it? There may be strict regulations prohibiting whey from being dumped into the sewers, but there is nothing prohibiting them from dumping it into your food. Don’t you just feel like throwing your arms around the food processors in this country and giving them a big kiss? They’re in heaven. They get whey than free—they are paid one cent a gallon to haul it away. The factories producing the whey are more than happy to pay a penny a gallon to have it hauled off so they don’t have a waste problem to deal with. Now, start reading some labels and you’ll see whey listed in a mind-boggling array of products—soup mixes, cocoa, pancake batter, Twinkies, margarine, packaged mashed potatoes, spaghetti sauces, salad dressings, baby foods, breads, etc., etc. Oval-tine has more whey than any other ingredient except sugar. Whey looks like pus and smells like vomit. It does not belong in your food.

The same goes for molasses, which is the by-product of the refining of sugar, sold for its “health-giving” qualities. Ha! It used to be trucked off and fed to cows, until it became apparent that people would pay a lot more for it than the cattle farmers.

Brewer’s yeast is the by-product of beer production. The beer brewers didn’t know what to do with either, so the most dependable solution of all was used—call it a “health food” and dump it down the throats of the gullible population. Such a nice, easy, profitable, answer to such a nasty, smelly problem.

I was once at a seminar where the subject of brewer’s yeast was raised. A girl sitting directly in front of me said, “Ugh, brewer’s yeast. I have some every morning, but it stinks up my whole kitchen when I take the top off the can.” I tapped her on the shoulder and asked. “If it stinks up your kitchen, what do you suppose it’s doing in your intestines?” she got the kind of perplexed look on her face of someone who has just been asked to spell chrysanthemum.

Whether the product is whey or molasses or brewer’s yeast or fluoride or radioactive wastes, we must not allow big business to use our bodies to solve their toxic waste problems

Q: You mentioned Gatorade in a negative way. I thought it was a healthy thirst quencher?

A: Of course you though that. It is exactly what the food processors pay the advertisers to get you to think. The truth is, dishwater is probably a better drink. Gatorade is nothing but water and a bunch of chemicals—water, sucrose (refined sugar), glucose (more refined sugar), salt, sodium citrate (more salt), and yellow dyes number 5 and 6. Sounds like something used to remove paint from a wall. By law these drinks must say on the label how much actual fruit juice they contain. On the label of Gatorade, in print so small you need an extra set of eyes to see it, it states, “Contains no fruit juice.” A fruit drink with no fruit. The food processors are taking P.T. Barnum’s comment “There is a sucker born every minute” a little too seriously. Look, we can’t keep falling for these things. If we’re not careful, they’re going to start feeding us radioactive waste while telling us how good it is for us. Whoop!!! I almost forgot. They already are!!!

This exercise is designed to get you to see what is required for you to be happy in every area of your life. The goal of this exercise is to get you to choose to accept that happiness is a choice you can make every day, regardless of your present life situation. You will see that everything you think will make you happy is external (lives outside you) and can never really create happiness. You will see that happiness is internal (lives inside you) and can be experienced at any given moment, regardless of your present life situation. There is only one thing you can train your mind to do to experience happiness regardless of your present life situation:

“ASK A QUALITY QUESTION”

Ask Questions Like…

What can I learn from this?

How can I use this experience to improve my life?

How can I use this experience to change my life?

What is funny about this situation?

Will this situation really matter in 1 year, 5 years or 10 years?

How can I use this situation as a tool that will challenge me to grow?

What haven’t I tried that could possibly change my present situation?

What would I tell my best friend to do in this situation if they asked me for advice?

These are sample questions I challenge you to ask yourself the next time you are experiencing negative emotions as a result of your present life situation. Whoever told you life would be easy forgot to tell you that an easy life (a life filled with love and happiness) is always the result of a constant commitment to self excellence. Any project requires time and energy, this is an exercise for the project of your life. Do it and continue powerfully down the road to your personal success. Do not do it and you will, as I have, come back to a fork on the road to your personal success that asks the same question in this form or another, “What has to happen for me to be happy?”

I challenge you to just do it, complete the exercise. Instead of reaching for a drink, a smoke, some food, ice cream, the TV guide, joystick – DO THIS EXERCISE! It will take less thanone hour and you will feel empowered and ready to continue creating the life of your dreams!

1. Write at the top of separate pieces of paper: ABOUT MYSELF, ABOUT MY HEALTH, ABOUT MY REALATIONSHIPS, ABOUT MY FAMILY, ABOUT MY CAREER.

Next, answer the following question:

What are all of the things that have to happen for me to be happy?
(E.G. get married, lose 10 pounds, get a promotion, etc.)

2. On the same pieces of paper write down the reasons why you said what would make you happy are false. (I’ll give you a hint, most of the things you probably said are external, happiness is internal – something you choose to create from your mind)

3. On a separate piece of paper write a paragraph or a few pages about why you are committed to being happy everyday of your life and every moment of your life.

4. On a separate piece of paper write down all of the things you are choosing to be happy about today.

5. On a separate piece of paper write down what is really important in your life that your already achieving.

6. Finally, print Happiness Part Two. After you print it, laminate it! (Very important). Finally, tape the piece of paper in your shower and do the exercise mentally or aloud every time you shower, everyday!

I know there are people on the earth who do not have enough food to nourish themselves and am therefore grateful for this good fortune and gift of abundance. I know the very food I eat is the raw material for my mind and my mind is my most valuable and powerful asset on the spiritual path.

I am choosing to eat this food to cultivate a good mind, a strong mind, a generous mind, a kind mind, a loving mind, a healthy mind, a noble mind, an intelligent mind, a mind that will continue to bring me to the feet of the Guru; a mind that will inspire me and fill me with tremendous love for GOD.

I know that it is GOD that is my digestive fire and is digesting my food. The Food itself is GOD; the Absolute. It is filled with the light of GOD. It is filled with Prana; the life force. This food is a gift from GOD. My digestive fire is blazing and I am authentically hungry. (If you cannot authentically say you are hungry… wait until you are or embrace the stored food as waste)

I am eating this food to create, sustain and maintain a healthy strong mind, body and spirit so I can continue my Sadhana with vigor and grace and offer service to humanity and GOD.

I am grateful that you GOD – The Divine Fire will digest this food and let it heal, nourish and strengthen my mind, body, and spirit.

Eating is a sacred ritual; it is a form of worship to you GOD, the Almighty Light of Consciousness. This food is consciousness and will become my consciousness.

I now offer a prayer of gratitude to you GOD for blessing me with this gift of food.

I now offer a prayer of gratitude to you Mother Earth for being so generous and allowing this food to be grown and produced on your land.

I now offer a prayer of gratitude to all of the people who have made it possible for me to have this food today, thank you.

May you all be blessed and filled with the presence and light of GOD and see GOD as a living presence everywhere and in everything.

I now declare that this food is in its original organic, nutritious, whole food state as it was originally intended by mother nature and any man made chemical, substance or process that has been added to this food that would or could cause any dis-ease to my mind, body or spirit be effortlessly and easily eliminated by my mind, body and spirit… and so it is!!!

Guidelines:

Eat in silence, be present, chew each bite until it becomes like paste.

Let the fire of love, devotion and faith in God be mixed with each mouthful.

Stop when there is still a little bit of hunger left to keep the digestive fire active and burning strong rather than smothering it.

This is how a Yogi eats who is longing for the experience of GOD!

If you dampen your hunger by eating every time you feel like it, you will kill your hunger for GOD.

If you let your hunger blaze it will become hunger for truth. This hunger keeps your heart in God’s heart. It is this hunger for GOD that actually sustains you more than food.
